Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions

Logistics and General Information

Will you have indoor camps?
  • All camps will take place indoors this summer. We plan to eat snack outside, weather permitting.

What should my child bring to camp?
  • Campers should dress in comfortable clothing that they can move in and should wear sneakers. Each camper should bring a snack, a refillable water bottle, and a change of clothes.

What is the maximum number of students in a camp?
  • Camps are usually capped at 15 students.

Cancellation and Transfer Policies

**If you wish to cancel your registration, you must notify Arts on the Horizon via email at least 4 weeks prior to the start of the registered session in order to receive a tuition refund in the form of an account credit to be used toward future Arts on the Horizon education classes or camps. If you cancel your registration less than 4 weeks prior to the start of the camp, you will receive 50% of your registration in the form of a credit.

Low Enrollment/Cancellation Policy: A minimum enrollment is required to run each program session. Sessions with low enrollment prior to the start date may be subject to cancellation. Any registrations that are cancelled due to low enrollment will be refunded in full.

Can I transfer to another camp session?
  • Students may transfer camp sessions based on availability without incurring an additional charge.  To cancel or transfer, email LLoy@ArtsOnTheHorizon.org

Safety and Cleaning Protocols

Will masks be required?
  • Currently, students and staff will be required to wear masks indoors, except when eating or drinking.

What are the drop-off procedures?
  • Prior to or at drop off each day, parents will be required to fill out a brief Google Form health questionnaire for their child. If your child has a temperature above 100 degrees or is experiencing other symptoms (fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, fatigue, muscle or body aches, new loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea), we ask that you keep them home.

What is the hand sanitization protocol?
  • Students will wash and sanitize hands often and thoroughly! Students will be required to sanitize hands upon arrival and at other points throughout the day. Arts on the Horizon will have hand sanitizer available during camp.

What is your cleaning/sanitizing protocol?
  • High-touch areas and surfaces will be sanitized frequently throughout the day. Bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized daily.

Are camp staff vaccinated?
  • Arts on the Horizon has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all staff and artists.
