Stories on the Horizon
This class features an interactive story time that encourages movement and participation, helping your little one practice new vocabulary, build listening skills, and acclimate to being part of a group. Stories and Songs will have your little one bouncing along on their feet as we discover classic stories and songs geared specifically for children 1 - 3 years old. |
Stories Come to Life: A Walk in Someone Else’s Shoes
We all put on different shoes depending on the day ahead of us. We have rain boots for days we know we are going to get our feet wet, we have snow shoes for playing in the snow, and we have flip-flops for trips to the beach. This class for 3 - 5 year olds will focus on a different pair of shoes each week. We will travel the world in our different shoes—perhaps our warm fuzzy boots will take us to Antarctica to play with the penguins in the snow, or we'll travel to the Southwest to become a rancher with our cowboy boots and spurs, or maybe even run off and join the circus in our big red clown shoes! A new and exciting adventure awaits us each week, so remember to pack your socks! |
Stories Come to Life: Discovery Zoo
Children will create their own fantasy zoo by exploring the animals of the world. Each week will focus on a different part of the world and the animals we can find there. Though stories, sound, and movement we will travel to places like Africa and learn about the King of the Jungle or to Antarctica to discover the penguins and sea lions. We will choose our favorite animal from each part of the journey and create our own zoo. At the end of the session, parents will be invited to visit the zoo that their children have designed.

Stories Come to Life: When I grow up...
When I grow up, I want to be...a chef? A veterinarian? A musician? For children, the possibilities are endless! In this 8-week creative drama session, your child will learn about and act out jobs found in our community. During each class, we’ll explore different dream jobs through stories, role-playing, and creative movement. Beginning Acting
This class introduces the basic skills that every budding actor should know. Your child will participate in traditional actor warm ups, improvisational exercises and theatre games – all of which will help them build confidence and enhance basic problem-solving skills. |
Acting I: Character Building
This class will focus on character development through the use of improvisational skills. Each class will focus on a new scene that the entire class will help to create. Each child will choose a character and will work on ways to develop his or her character through voice and movement. Throughout the session, they will have the opportunity to record the different stages of their character’s development in their acting journal. |
