Drumming with Dishes
Written by David Kilpatrick
Remount production directed by Matt Bassett
The Lab at Convergence: October 6-21, 2017
Atlas Performing Arts Center: October 25-29, 2017
What happens when you invite someone very different from you to come over to play? Just such an adventure awaits an adventurous child when she introduces her shy imaginary friend to a very special kitchen, where instead of food, they'll cook up beautiful music! This gentle, whimsical adventure celebrates friendship and turning the ordinary into the extraordinary as you never know just what will become a musical instrument next. Pasta box shakers and dishes drumming away with spoons are just some of the friendly surprises that encourage a child's sense of play. And as our heroine empowers her timid friend to create music, we discover just what wonders can be accomplished when we all work together.
Best for children ages 2-5 and their families
Written and Directed by Rex Daugherty

A playful (if not a little mischievous) winter elf takes her on an adventure – showing her just how magical snow can be! Join Skip as she experiences all the excitement, joy, and wonder of her very first snow day. This nonverbal production features live music and lots of wintertime fun, just in time for the holiday season.

Two pen pals from different parts of the world brighten each other's lives from afar. But when they magically switch places one day, it's a whole new adventure! Scored by tango music and featuring artful projection design, this original nonverbal piece for ages 2-5 vibrantly celebrates our interconnected world.
Outside the lines on a page is where a story lives.
Outside the lines of the self is where another lives.
And outside the lines of the world you see...there's a world of possibility.
Best for children ages 2 - 5 and their families.
To the Clouds
Written and directed by Natasha Mirny
The Lab at Convergence: May 31st-June 16th, 2018
Local Tour: June and July 2018
Take a journey from the clouds, to the earth, and back again through the eyes of a single rain drop! On her very first trip through the water cycle, a drop of rain is eager to see what lies ahead. Along the way, she gets a closer look at some amazing things: colorful flowers, the warm sun, and perhaps even a whale! As she completes the voyage and goes back to her home in the clouds, she looks forward to once again returning to her friends on earth. Through movement, puppetry, and found object animation, this interactive world-premiere for babies and toddlers is driven by a soundtrack of classical music and creates a captivating world of transformation.
Best for children ages 0 - 3 and their families.
